Also known as: Serra, Cão da Serra de Aires, Serra de Aires Sheepdog, Monkey Dog

Origin: Portugal

Height at shoulder: 16–22 inches (41–56 cm)

Weight: 26–40 pounds (12–18 kg)

Coat: Shaggy, straight to slightly wavy, slightly rough, long beard, moustache, and eyebrows not covering eyes

Color: Black, fawn, red, gray, brown (mixed, with or without white hairs), with or without tan markings; may have small white patch on chest

Ears: Set high, hanging (unless cropped) but not folded

Tail: Long, high set
