Bearded Collie

Also known as: Beardie, Highland Collie, Old Welsh Grey, Mountain Sheepdog

Origin: British Isles

Height at shoulder: 20–22 inches (51–56 cm)

Weight: 40–60 pounds (18–27 kg)

Coat: Long, shaggy, straight to slightly wavy; parts down the middle, lies flat, beard

Color: Black, blue (grey), brown, or fawn, with or without white markings

Ears: Folded over, with slight lift at base

Tail: Long, low set or natural bob
